While the Governor held a secretive nuclear industry summit inside, we joined with Haudenosaunee Nations, climate organizations, and community members to highlight the costly risks of her nuclear energy plan, and call for a renewable future.

Shout out to the Indigenous allies, organizers, and co-sponsors who made today's People's Meeting happen in Syracuse. Many great speakers making it clear: @governor.ny.gov must stop her reckless pursuit of more nuclear power in NY

Today at 11 a.m., while NY holds an invite only pro-nuclear summit, we'll be outside with our allies holding our own peoples' meeting.

We just can't afford more nuclear in our state, especially after massive National Grid rate hikes.

"Converted to economic losses, the health toll from climate-worsened wildfire smoke alone will exceed the economic damages the U.S. government currently considers attributable to climate change, from infrastructure losses to lost work hours, according to the analysis."

🚨ACTION ALERT🚨

NYers agree: ICE & federal troops have no place in our city. It’s now up to our state + local officials to protect immigrants and vulnerable communities.

✊Join us this Thursday, 9/25 at 6pm in Foley Square to show our leaders what solidarity in NY looks like.

Syracuse was left out as well, even though the draft plan perpetuates nuclear pipe dreams, which could directly impact CNY

Lt. Gov. Delgado is joining calls by advocates and other officials urging @governor.ny.gov to reject the Williams pipeline proposal, just as New York has done before.

I have a family member who did her master's degree at ESF. Its mission is vital not only for New York State but also for the world. (For those who aren't aware, ESF stands for Environmental Science and Forestry.)

Good showing today at the Rochester Draft State Energy Plan hearing. Lots of folks beyond this photo who stood up to the mic and made it clear: we expect NY to follow the Climate Law, implement cap and invest, and reject costly false solutions like nuclear.
