Eg why do we breathe out of the same hole we eat with? Because lungs evolved from the gut! It's not ideal, but it was the solution evolution "found", and it worked well enough

Really goes into how evolution is an incremental process and things don't just evolve out of nowhere, but it still manages to solve incredibly difficult problems. Often in ways that have side effects we just evolved ways to deal with at the same time!

That map seems to show the English version of the language's own word, rather than the word they'd use in English, if that makes sense. The Swedish word is "bensin", but no one would call it "benzene" when speaking English. It'd either be gas(oline) or petrol
