at the end of the day, it isn't irrational to look at the mountain of public examples of how trump behaves with and regards women and girls to come to the conclusion that that he may have abused underage girls.

you don't need FRE-compliant evidence to acknowledge that it is a *possibility*.

or even that government investigations aren't free from bias. for example, the juridical presumption of the government acting in good faith is itself a bias.

the bias-free fiction of judicial system is intrinsic to its design, but let's not pretend that biases aren't baked in.

and beyond that, having evidence that meets standards of court admissibility (which aren't even the same from country to country) doesn't mean that that evidence can't feed into cognitive bias as well!

the rules of evidence are reasonable for judicial processes, due to the power differentials in the system and the nature of the stakes.

most definitely. but absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, and there's plenty of reason to believe that the epstein files contain information that would tip the scales one way or the other.
