Not five minutes into catching up this a.m. and my rage has derailed me. Nothing new to see! The admin lies, Dems posture, and Schumer's ready to cut a deal for new rules that repeat what laws and Constitution already require.

Gonna tell my senators to have a spine, and try to get some work done.

Rakel Kristiansen, from a family of shamanic practitioners, said Inuit people saw themselves as temporary guardians of the land. “In our understanding, owning land is the wrong question...The question should be who is responsible for the land. The land existed before us, and it will exist after us.”
No one owns our Arctic land, we share it, say Greenland’s Inuit
Inuit in Greenland reject the idea of buying land, holding it collectively as their identity, even as remote villages like Kapisillit struggle to survive and retain tradition.

Chuck Schumer just announced demands on DHS to avoid shutdown:
1. End roving patrols, tighten rules on warrants
2. Enforce accountability & unified code of conduct for agents
3. No more masks & require bodycams

There are *already* standards on much of this.

The issue is DHS isn't following them!

Kill the electricity and water to the building. Do emergency road construction on ALL roads leading into or out of the facility. Condemn the building for human code violations and have it demolished.

If the roles were reversed and dems were doing this, Republicans would have ended it months ago.

In Battle Over DHS Funding, Reforms Like Body Cameras Are a “Copaganda” Myth
Let’s focus on changes that will actually reduce the violence these agencies commit, says author Alec Karakatsanis.

LPI staff and scientists are NOT the problem. Let's not attack them. The problem is failure of leadership at USRA, and the decision of LPI leadership to delete abstracts without having a conversation with the community.

LPI staff and scientists did not make the decision.
