I'm very concerned that if we ban pepper balls these maniacs will just use their guns. They are, clearly, terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought when they are out on the streets, and even though they misuse nonlethals by shooting people point blank in the face, it's better than guns.
Dems are threatening shutdown. Demands: Require ICE to have judicial warrants, ban masks for ICE, mandate body cams, require visible ID, establish independent investigations, coordinate ICE with local LEO.

This is sort of a throughline in cases of excessive force used by law enforcement. The civilian is supposed to perfectly adhere to some unwritten code of conduct; the armed professional supposedly trained for such situations is only human & must be given lattitude if they succumb to fear and rage.
The administration is insisting that its masked goons are so emotionally stunted that words can launch them into a murderous rage.
