Sadly #medical #misogyny is still very much alive.Yes, girls & women are treated better than our great-grandmothers, grandmothers & mothers were, but our care is still not where it needs to be. I spent years of my life fighting for a medically necessary hysterectomy.

I was denied because I might “meet a man who wants kids some day”.

I was put on strong hormones that I didn’t want.

One of those was Depo Provera, which we now know is linked to brain tumours 🧵
