Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”
Nick Fuentes: “The number one political enemy in America is women. … They have to be imprisoned.”

Proud too.
I do want to shout-out my fellow sociologists, who have collectively created a discipline so woke that not a single one of our introductory textbooks can make it past Florida's censors.

Great work everyone.

This is even better than a masterpiece: it is useful.
"When in doubt, draw a distinction."

Not sure where he got it, but in grad school one of my teachers taught me that.

This (long) thread is about the key distinctions I rely on as a critic. There's a Twitter version from 2021. This one builds on that one.

I will post them one at a time. Ready?

There is no Trump "doctrine," domestic or foreign. To imagine that Trump does -- or ever could -- have a doctrine is to misunderstand him at the deepest level.

Beyond that, these guys don't seem to realize that, living in the contemporary world, they are 100% dependent on a whole range of overlapping systems that are almost entirely sustained by the thankless work of the very women they disdain.

All these Tough Guys would be *helpless* on their own.
I am just gonna say it, these guys are completely emasculated by the knowledge that they have been out-organized by a group that is significantly made up of women, and all the bullshit call of duty nonsense is cope for their wounded egos bsky.app/profile/jeet...

Right now billionaires are heading to Davos conference with Trump to talk about solutions to problems THEY created.

8 men own 50% of all wealth, yet they point the finger at immigrants and trans people.

It's so hard--I think they are trying to adapt, as we all are. I just don't think that automating the classroom solves the problem of students automating their thinking.

The Greenland thing is emblematic of the unique way the American Empire is failing: we perfected empire! We don't even have to occupy what we want, we enter into nice agreements because we're so strong, but this is too complex for the people now running us.
If only the US Navy was able to base itself there and had committed through some sort of treaty to safeguard a particular set of countries and geographies. Perhaps some sort of Treaty Organization concerning the North Atlantic.

Im seeing discussions about consultations with congress, authorizations of force etc. I have to say this transcends any of what I would call sub constitutional technicalities. The president has gone to war with a foreign power and, it seems, kidnapped a foreign head of state on the basis of nothing.

We need to make being an ignorant, misinformed, bigoted sociopathic chud a social deadend and societal marker of the worst kind of person imaginable.

Elevating and establishing communities that actually value honesty, openness, and basic humanity is a necessity. Vice signaling is mind killer.
Today on Volts: I've got a nerdy one for you! I talk with political scientist @samuel-bagg.bsky.social about the epistemic crisis & its roots in social identity. He explains why factchecking & media literacy classes will never solve misinformation -- why something deeper & stronger is required.
The cure for misinformation is not more information or smarter news consumers
Political scientist Samuel Bagg explains why social identity is at the root of the misinformation crisis -- which calls for something deeper than factchecking.

I submit that the reactionary mind yearns for a past it does not know or understand, but a flattened, bowdlerized version that dispenses of struggle, resistance, life: the political. The core of that retelling is that dominant people were effortlessly in control, without contestation. It may well
Side note: Sinatra’s mom Natalina “Dolly” Garaventa, a midwife by trade, ran an underground free abortion clinic, chained herself to a fence to fight for women’s suffrage and was an extremely influential organizer for the Democratic Party

This. Post-politics, or antipolitics, or whatever is called, is tilted field, asymmetrical warfare.
Sometimes it sucks being the only party that is connected to reality, making actual policy, or being held accountable for promises!
