No es difícil encontrar sesudos análisis sobre cómo los fondos NextGen era una trampa que iba a traer la austeridad y la deuda impagable. En 2026 estamos ya.
Yo esto lo veo sobre todo con “la austeridad que viene” y que nunca acaba de llegar. La pandemia nos cambió muchos paradigmas para entender la UE y no acabamos de ver qué sucedió y cómo nos afectó.
Hemos pasado de maldecir a la Europa neoliberal por forzar nuestra desindustrialización a maldecir a la Europa (¿post?)neoliberal por “forzar” el único camino posible de reindustrialización en este siglo: renovables y electrificación industrial. Habría que escribir un ensayito de ese tránsito.

In which I say that the most important aspect of currency internationalization is not being a reserve asset but being a denomination for cross-border borrowing (and secondary-market trading) at a huge scale in liquid securities markets.
