diversity in your character designs and artwork makes you a stronger artist, period. trying to draw something you haven’t before w/ reference- even if the result isn’t what you’d like yet- will be infinitely more beneficial for you than sticking to what’s comfier to draw atm regardless of art style

2/5 He also drew the mascot and marketing materials for the Cartoon Fantasy Organization, the first anime fan club, staffed the first Furry Convention, Confurence, and was one of the first to popularize the macro subculture. Much of our biggest early milestones came from black artists and voices.

Black Furries made some of the Furry Fandom's greatest contributions while representing one of our smallest minority groups. Our Fandom is only 1.6% Black compared to 12% of the U.S. population. Ken Sample created the first Fursona in a drawing for his partners.
