Hours later and I can still smell it very easily. The lasting power is amazing even if it doesn't project quite as much. There's no vanilla in this one though, so currently it's all leftover spice from the cardamom and maybe some sandalwood too.

God I am obsessed with these scents.

It's been a few hours, and while I can still smell the spice, I'd say overall the Extrait performs much better and lasts longer.

I think I can kind of smell the fig now? It's not as strong as the Extrait, but maybe that's only because I wasn't able to spray it? I think I prefer the Extrait, but they smell so similar to me that it barely matters.

Most reviews say that the Extrait is spicier, but I honestly think it's this one. Without the vanilla, it's much sharper, and I also think the black tea is heavier than the sandalwood here.

I still couldn't get the spray bottle to work, so I had to dab onto my skin, which is unfortunate because I wasn't able to spray into my clothes at all.

Anyways, it smells almost exactly like the Extrait. I'm not sure why they made a second one.

The massive projection from the morning is gone, but when I smell my wrists the scent is still quite obvious. This is probably the strongest fragrance I've tried, which I appreciate.

It's been 4.5 hours and it's settled into a nice spicy vanilla sandalwood. The cardamom is still there but not nearly as pronounced. Vanilla isn't as strong as Liam Grey, but it did take a while for the vanilla to come out in that one too.

Liam Grey was more cardamom and black tea, with a hint of fig. This one to me is cardamom and sandalwood, with a hint of black tea. I'm interested in seeing if this one has as much vanilla in the dry down, and if it keeps any of the wood throughout the day.

The spice of the cardamom comes through very well, but there's maybe a little bit less black tea than Liam Grey. I don't smell any fig.

#perfume BDK Gris Charnel Extrait

I meant to try the original gris charnel today, but the spray bottle wasn't working, so I gave up. (I'll fix it before tomorrow.)

Initial thoughts are that this scent is strong as fuck. I only did three sprays, one on each arm and one on my neck, but it's a lot.
