The CFPB made WellsFargo send me a refund for 3K in 2022 for a service they had charged me for since 2007 that was bogus. WellsFargo wouldn’t have refunded me themselves. The CFPB made them do it. We need them around.

At #NICAR25 the CFPB’s Chief Technologist @erie.bsky.social says the agency is still here and can only be ended by an act of Congress, despite her team being recently fired. The DOGE team has “god mode” access to all CFPB complaint data. “It's a 5 alarm fire for me that they have this data.”
