Walk into my neighborhood ACE last night & see the signage on their door notifying fed agents that it’s private property and cannot be used for immigration enforcement. These signs are all over the city.

Walk in & the nearest shelf has goggles & whistles.

A divide in present-day US civic tech circles: some people still cling to that one Jeff Hammerbacher quote, or to the founding myths of the Obama-era data firms, and treat themselves as exceptional. Others see themselves (correctly!) as narrow practitioners in a larger policy-practice ecosystem.

Woah: Hochul wants New York to build *5 GW* of nuclear power, up from 1 GW she announced last year. That’s more than has been built in the US in the past 30 years.

I really want to know what app the ICE agent is using to register this person.
This black man, who was racially profiled by ICE in a gas station in Minneapolis today, would not have walked away if it weren’t for brave Americans who stood up for him and for those whose deaths have brought ICE’s savagery to the epicenter of national attention.

When I read this number, my jaw dropped. This is barely a drop of H2O in a vast ocean of cars and trucks across the city.

This tech is proven to nudge people's behavior to drive safer.

A responsive government that cares about its residents should have expanded these tools YEARS ago.
