I legitimately cannot tell if my old C++ code was doing incredibly questionable things or if I was simply working around shitty C++ compilers from 10 years ago.

Nobody asked, but my actual most radical left wing belief is that countries shouldn't exist and border enforcement is a crime against humanity.
My most unhinged, radical left-wing belief is that you can replace the meat in any dish with mushrooms and instantly make it better.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When spending time with cute mousegirls, well, be a cute mousegirl. At least, that's Briar's plan...

Base by Biscuits. Color and Briar are my fault.

For the sake of refreshing my C++ (I can't find any Rust jobs), I finished updating my utility library to C++20. It was very painful and made it clear that moving to Rust was a good idea, but this library is now almost 20 years old. I started writing it with C++03 in high school, before Git existed.

Finished migration to C++20 and did some code cleanup. Replaced all previous comparison functions with standard three-way comparisons Replaced all comparison methods with potentially stateful comp...

This file is beautiful. It's an entire header file for a singular implementation of a weirdly specific compile-time static alignment calculation, which itself has a workaround to avoid crashing GCC with just 4 lines of code. It's perfect.

The comment on my inverted three-way comparison function has been wrong since I wrote it in 2012. It's been wrong for 14 years and I never noticed. It's been wrong so long I'm now replacing the whole thing with the three-way comparison operator from C++20.

If it's a technology that could conceivably bring furries closer to being their fursona, you can rest assured that it's a technology invented and/or perfected by furries.
Meta misunderstood who VR is for. They thought it was for businessmen and engineers at Raytheon. It’s actually for furries, gooners and software engineers who wear rainbow socks
VR is amazing and the fact these clowns can’t make anything near VR chat even with billions at their disposal just screams how they shouldn’t have these resources.

Hey Ferrin folk, I don't usually post stuff like this, but there's some random dude going around harassing Ferrin owners. Just vaporize them. It's no big deal, just send them to another dimension. Remove their electrolytes. Reduce them to their base elements.

One especially goofy aspect of all of this is Karl Marx was an accomplished stock trader

But modern leftists so often see any attempt to wield even modest power or wealth as inherently evil

And then get surprised when they fail to influence the world in their favor
of course people are getting mad at this

jfc, this site is for more than just you and your individual needs and tastes
Also new in v1.114 today: cashtags! Like hashtags, but for stocks.

In the distant future of 2026, we have developed advanced technology that somehow makes basic text input laggy on a PC with more computational power than a supercomputer from 1996.

the fact that Final Fantasy 1 was made by one of the greatest programmers alive, who could reach into his mind palace over a phone call and point to the exact line of code to change to fix a problem, and the INT stat *still* doesn't do anything, implies that maybe you can't prevent this stuff.
Thinking about the sketch thing and old buggy games and like how half of every 2d Final Fantasy simply Didn't Work, like... Outrage over day one patches might be the strangest thing. Like the extremes suck, but it's mostly a good thing???

Recruiters keep sliding into my DMs with messages like "I see you wrote a pixel shader once, do you think you're qualified to debug kernel audio device drivers?"

This is like asking an electrician if they can figure out why someone's PC is stuck in a boot loop.
