The entire reason Rust is annoying is that it Almost has a real typeclass system, and it Almost has linear types, and it Almost has GADTs, and it Almost has higher-kinded types, but every time someone tries to fix anything a compiler dev is like "actually this makes all builds 10x slower sorry".

If we cured aging right now it'd only reduce deaths by ~25%. Even with cells replicating like a teenager, you still accumulate damage. The fat buildup in your arteries doesn't go away. You're still one misfolded protein from getting ALS. Eventually you just die of turbocancer, or get hit by a truck.

This means that some older flash animations, if viewed using Ruffle, will have a similar problem as running old games intended for CPUs with a certain clock speed, in that certain scenes will go by way too fast. This is particularly noticeable in Madness 5: Depredation.

A fascinating thing about old flash animations is that some scenes were too complex for any computer to render at full speed at the time. Instead of simplifying the art, some artists simply *sped up the animation* during those segments, effectively lowering the FPS for those specific segments.

Act 1 is much more linear then the rest of the game. The beginning of Hollow Knight was similar, but it was a shorter game overall. However, there are actually some significant alternative paths available in Act 1, but casual players will almost certainly miss them, because they are not obvious.
