If you ever wondered why Yo! Noid is such a strange game that doesn't fully fit with the Dominos mascot, it was actually a reskin of a famicom title called Kamen no Ninja Hanamaru

There is only one UMD Video release for the PSP that contains a game demo alongside a movie, being 'Stealth', which included a demo for Wipeout Pure. The demo even contains an exclusive ship and track themed after the movie which are not present in the full game.

Oh so that's why Dust is an overhead. It's actually the 'FUCKIN' button.
A proto of Guilty Gear X for Dreamcast had a 'FUCKIN' button

For non-FFXI players please read this thread. God I love this game.
Let me tell y'all about Final Fantasy XI's Taisaijin.

Back in 2003, FFXI was only available in Japan. In Feb that year, the spell Refresh was added in an update. This spell slowly regenerates MP, which was a very powerful ability at the time and for several years after. On the

For added context, Dark Cloud 2 is like a 100 hour game. I definitely had a file with like 300 hours on it. Doing this is sicko behavior (I'm sickos).
In Dark Cloud 2: at the beginning of the game you get to customize the main characters', Max, outfit.
But if you have a file on the memory card that fully beat the game, you will also be permitted to customize your 2nd character Monica.
The outfits do nothing for stats

in resident evil 4, in chapter 5-4, just after the helicopter is shot down, if you zoom out into the distance, you can see an extremely low quality image of *someone* in a green jacket. nobody on the game's staff has ever clarified who this is

what the fuck
he was already anime enough that's crazy
The japanese version of Sly 1 altered the animated cutscenes to soften the features of various characters. Including shortening Sly's snout and giving him chubbier cheeks, and even removing Raleighs british teeth.

The Hokuto no Ken games on the Famicom and SFC are universally terrible but one bit in the sixth one always makes me laugh.

According to the manual Raoh can't crouch because "it's unlike a king to kneel". That also means he can't block low, which is a pretty big disadvantage in a fighting game...

In the original arcade version of Final Fight, there's a third button whose function is to escape grabs. It's not wired by default in arcade machines, but was left in the game code and can be accessed via emulation. Here, I tested it via MiSTerFPGA. It was probably used by the devs during QA.

Both Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 for the Master System each have only one single "Power Sneakers" monitor in the entire game.
However, the Game Gear version of Sonic 2 has none at all, and it is instead replaced by a 10-Ring monitor.

In Playstation All Stars, moves would change properties depending on if you were playing with a HDMI connection or RGY/Scart connections due to the lower frame rate of EU TV's.

This meant some attacks/combos would have a smaller hitbox on the 50hz connection because it skipped active frames.

In Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S: Jougai Rantou!? Shuyaku Soudatsusen released for the Super Famicom on December 16th, 1994, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Neptune have a bonus defense modifier that only applies the first time they are hit. This is not a bug, this is intentionally programmed.

This literally happened with food in Final Fantasy XI. The original JP text descriptions were really dry, and SE higher-ups didn't care so the US team went wild with it.
Eventually the JP internet noticed and got mad that our food descriptions were fun and exciting, and now we both have that!
One reason I'll always advocate that my fellow J>E colleagues tune out anti-loc noise and always just Do Good Work is because sometimes someone in Japan gives you your props. Maybe it's the dev team and they update the source text based on YOUR work, or maybe it's fans, but either way, it's nice. 😌
So per r/Umamusume (www.reddit.com/r/UmaMusume/...) there's a Japanese woman crashing out that the localized named for Halloween Super Creek's skill is Give Mummy a Hug and is mad that JP doesn't have this

no joke the loss of #PS4SHARE is profound. It's really hard to tell how hard a game is hitting and it's also free of fucked up mix tweets that just say "lmao #PS4SHARE". A strange world.
In a post-Share button world, it's been very hard to tell what games are actually hitting. It takes effort to post clips or fan art.

That new Digimon game has some fan art.
Death Stranding 2? Very few clips
Yotei? A little here
Kirby? You would think it's the biggest game in the world right now
