I've never known anyone who was obsessed with immigration who wasn't an out and out loser and an absolute racist bigot.

I'm saying it because it's simply not said enough.

Sometimes the jokes people post in the comments are really good. Underneath our joke about Kid Rock having to change his name (as he's neither), Rhiannon posted on Instagram, "Isn't Kid Rock the new name for Epstein Island?", and we have to say it's the funniest comment of 2026 so far! 😂😂 NewsThump

William Shakespeare wrote this speech 400 years ago about people in London wishing that immigrants go back to where they came from, performed by Sir Ian McKellen on the Stephen Colbert show:
Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

We hope the good people of #SanFrancisco will forgive us for adapting a song about their city in 1967 to address the shocking and tragic events in #Minnesota in recent weeks. This is dedicated to Renée Good and Alex Pretti, and in solidarity. Our version is called "Minnesota" ❤️

I'm always amazed, not only at the new versions @marshfamilysongs.bsky.social manage to put together, but the speed at which they get them out after events occur.
Possibly, very possibly, their best to date, certainly top 3.

I have a friend in the States who’s a percussionist. Played with the late Ritchie Havens. A great artist and a genuine person. One of her dearest friends has shared this testimony from Minneapolis. It is real and genuine, and it is our duty to share it with the world.

@ross-greer.bsky.social Well done for an interesting and well-balanced interview on BBC Radio 4, and for keeping your calm in spite of Nick Robinson's red-faced spittle-flecked anger over your refusal to rise to the bait about transgender issues. He really is a very unpleasant man.
