Playing out ahead of my chops here but nonetheless stringing a few thoughts together.

Something beautiful will happen next week, and again the week after.

I think neither: kids in Company appear largely as the limit to the liberty of the married couples, to a man too old to be young, who is recognizing an obsessive relationship to liberty as his own limit. Children are thought more in Into the Woods.

Highland cattle are famous for their ability to "disco nap". Normally these brief, efficient sleeps will last between three and twenty minutes, deploying a variety of objects as pillows, including moorland boulders, cars or any particularly large dog or sheep who happens to be nearby.
A highland cow having a little nap on a boulder on Dartmoor (ok, it was actually scratching its head)

I am thinking of disentangling criticism of mass culture from criticism of those masses it is served to and serves, and of isolating elements just as stupid and formulaic in the older traditions, maybe giving a different view of what is essential, recovery of minor traditions in light of reinvention

I don't think this is right. IMO poptimism enacted several worthwhile critical moves but underestimated the need to think against its future cooptation. bad poptimists are called poptimists and bad classical critics are called snobs. but there is a redeemed version of each

Listened to the new Taylor Swift record. I think I will increase my dose of creatine from 3 grams to 5. Whatever it takes

[Listening to the Taylor Swift album at 2.5x so I can get this review out before everyone else] I have to say, her pitch is too high on every single song. Disappointing. Incredible breath control singing that fast though

you know how in a lot of old paintings there's weirdly muscular little babies? what if we used gene editing to make our bodies produce hardcore steroids endogenously, from birth, no injections needed. just high protein RAW applesauce. &imagine being a year older and just getting wailed on in daycare

Yes, as we all know what parents want is a child who only sleeps four hours a night

the amazing thing is that this person perceives that there is something unfair about disadvantage or inequality as a result of birth, and considers this insult of birth to be a heavier matter than life itself, or the welcoming of life into this world. good thing there's no birth inequality now

I have a slightly complex argument to venture on a more than slightly contentious political matter. Should I go for it? Right here on social media?
