Hello! This account is all about finding the space to breathe and focus in our hectic teaching lives. It’s these spaces (sometimes only a few nanoseconds long) which allow us to find the most useful response to enable our pupils to learn, progress and self regulate.

Absolutely this. Polls are often way off even in an election year but currently they are totally meaningless and shouldn’t be steering policy in any way.

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.

Oh no we are not turning trick or treat into a season! One night is fine but that’s the limit!

We see comments like this all the time.

But the thing is, lots of people who need food banks HAVE JOBS.

Bills are rising, rent is sky-high – and wages just don’t cover it all. Even when income is topped up by Universal Credit, people still don’t have enough money to survive.

1/4 Menopause education can prevent tragedy.

Sometimes I get there too late.

One of the participants in a school mentoring session had an early menopause and an uneventful perimenopause in the middle of the pandemic when we were all just struggling to keep pupils learning one way or another.
