Latino voters in California worry about inflation and housing costs
Initially brought on-side by President Trump's promise to lower prices on day one, Latinos who voted for the Republican are beginning to switch back to Democrats' side.

Latinos in Miami have, for years, equated the Democratic party with the kind of authoritarian governments they saw in Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. They have been surprised to learn there can be dictators on the right, as Trump has turned out to be.

Got that, everyone?

Now, the “genocide Joe” dummies are saying democrats should have just found some other Black woman to run for president—instead of the literally sitting Vice President.

Very true, though I was thinking more of the mainstream press laser-focused on Biden's mental acuity while giving Trump a pass. I recall the NY Times defending themselves at the time by saying, well, Biden is the President and Trump is just a candidate.

Yep. And Trump had done it! He had pretty successfully made *real* inroads with non-White voters, especially conservative, religious types. He had Latinos and Somalis and Arabs voting for him in *really* numbers in 2024.

And Miller came in and just nuked that whole coalition in less than a year.
It is absolutely wild to me that Miller is so monomaniacal that he can't see that the GOP's best shot at long-term relevance was appealing to conservative minority voters on cultural issues. Racism makes you stupid.
“…And yet there are Republican lawmakers who eagerly facilitate the disinheritance of their own children.”

That right there is some dark, disturbing shit.

13 House Republicans joined all Democrats to advance a bill that would nullify Donald Trump’s March 2025 executive order restricting collective bargaining rights for nearly 1 million federal workers. The procedural vote passed 222–200, signaling growing discomfort inside the @GOP. Stop Miller.

Why the poor get hammered - because they cant borrow like Bezos:

If wages lag inflation, the real marginal cost of labor falls, even if nominal pay rises slightly.

So:

Nominal wage ↑ 3%
Inflation ↑ 6%
Real wage ↓ 3%
That’s an implied wage compression.

Or simpler:

IF you ever hurled the phrase “genocide Joe” in the lead up to the 2024 election,

THEN you certainly helped the Trump campaign. Period. Regardless of how you voted.

Time to grow up and accept the realities of our 2-party electoral system.

Or don’t. The county’s pretty much ending anyway.
