First #DNF this year. Not a bad #book w/some good advice. Very religious, with Bible verses as supporting evidence on every page, which I tolerated until the authors said research was < Biblical teaching. I’ve had enough of that for one life. Give it to your non-confrontational Christian friends.

A fantastic #book. It’s about Clodia, but also about the fascinating array of women who would have shaped her worldview. It challenges so many assumptions about antiquity. The research is great. Will buy it for the citations and further reading sections alone.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

the best antidote to blackpilling is remembering that every video you see of an ICE thug abusing their power was recorded by an American who volunteered to put themselves in harm's way for the sake of people they've likely never met and never will
