I'm doing a last min booked day sit with a gorgeous rescue named Ellie Belly...and outside the windows facing the Puget Sound, a bald eagle perched, then flew right in front of the windows when I sat to eat breakfast soaking in the view.

It's the little things...living in a tiny house cedar cabin I tend to arrange and rearrange a lot.

Yup, it works. Want a book the library doesn’t have? Ask ‘em for it.
I don't have a good understanding of the behind-the-scenes workings of libraries, but mine keeps buying the books that I request, and my librarian friends have told me that I should keep doing that.

It may sound sappy or corny, but being kind during the holidays is everything. Whilst it's a beautiful time of year, it can be heavy for so many. We're all in this life together, and in the end, we only have one another. We can't take away other's pain, but we can at least be a source of their joy.

But out in the distance even with cabin windows closed, the great horned owls sing to each other.
