Not going to rage post on social media about politics.

Gonna leave that to the poasters and pundits.

Just going to share photos of all the beautiful public lands I like to visit and talk about the weather.

Oh. Dammit. This sucks.

We have been told for nearly 30 years that America needed to tolerate mass shootings because the broad availability of guns would help us defend ourselves from an overreaching federal government. That day has come. The people who said this are supporting the federal agents. Many have joined them.

There are businesses in Minnesota selling the fuel going into ICE vehicles.

There is a utility company providing the gas and electricity keeping them warm at night.

There is a hotel providing these agents of murder shelter.

They are getting fed somehow.

All pinch points. Let’s get pinching.

Logged on this morning to post a photo but instead I find myself rage scrolling with an insatiable anger at 77 million American voters.

I will never forgive.

Absolutely hilarious how the precipitation map for this storm stops almost exactly at the Colorado border.

Just no relief in sight for this awful, snowless winter.

😞
The latest on the major winter storm and extreme cold expected later this week.

I saw the video. I do not think for a second there was any sort of contact that could cause internal bleeding.

I’ve been hit as a pedestrian by a garbage truck in NYC and smashed into on a bicycle by a motorist in Denver.

I’m the biggest manbaby ever and I shook it off, ffs.

Haven’t been posting much. Just sad an angry. But I’m still taking photos and playing the guitar.

Snapped this crazy cloud about a month ago during that stretch of windstorms and power outages.

Opinion writer angry journalists don’t have her back.

Seriously, I will never not be mad about everything happening but the complete collapse of the field of journalism at the hands of billionaires is right there at the top of my list.

“Whata Bod” is not a place in Montana.

I rely on the National Weather Service forecasts to inform my travel.

Absolutely unacceptable for the Missoula office to post an alert accompanied by a map with AI generated place names.

I’m in Colorado but I am alarmed all the same. This is unacceptable.

Feeling nostalgic about being young and kissing under midnight fireworks and how it is truly amazing / beautiful. Also how a quiet night in w/ the family getting the manic toddler to settled in is just as amazing / beautiful.

Sending peace and love to the young and the old and almost dead.

Next time I’m late to work I’m going to reference this.

“Are you sure about that? What is ‘time’ anyway?”
“In short, the atomic ensemble time scale at our Boulder campus has failed due to a prolonged utility power outage. One impact is that the Boulder Internet Time Services no longer have an accurate time reference.”

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

Nothing quite like waking up hours before dawn and hiking uphill in the dead of winter through deep snow to gain a high vantage before the day begins.

This snowy predawn scene is from a few years ago, when it still snowed in the Rockies.

Currently experiencing high winds in the foothills southwest of Colorado.

The power has (mostly) been off since Wednesday morning because of the fire risk.

My neighbors toward the northwest — the direction of the winds currently gusting close to 60 mph — have a remodeling crew there 🙃

All right. You’ve talked me into it. I’m gonna buy a ring light and start telling it like it is.

I’m really not keen on Instagram, Tik Tok, or YouTube, though.

Gonna try to reach the olds by distributing VHS tapes at the local community center I guess. No more dicking around for me.
i have said this before but if you are actually interested in influencing people beyond a narrow circle of too-online journalists you will be making direct to camera videos on tiktok, instagram and youtube. if you primarily post on text-based social media then you're just dicking around.

Winter sunrises high above treeline are the best. Love waking up hours before sunrise and trudging up the snow to gain a ridge. Maybe it will be an epic sunrise. Maybe just high winds.
