We are now Appreciating @exeterunispeccoll.bsky.social 's Dragon.

So much appreciating. So little time.
This book (1886) not only features a drawing of a dragon on its cover, but is also embossed with stylised dragon scales!

The author, Charles Gould, built on Darwin's theory of evolution & proposed that mythical monsters may not be imaginary after all...

Show us your best dragons to appreciate on this most appreciative of dragon days, GLAM followers...
Today is NATIONAL APPRECIATE A DRAGON DAY so we invite you to appreciate this dragon from our collections.

The AZDAHA is a mythological Iranian dragon, described in Persian sources as an enormous winged serpent.

More dragons from @maacambridge.bsky.social for National Appreciate a Dragon Day. We are appreciating these right now
It's #NationalAppreciateADragonDay, so we're going to take a moment to admire some of the dragons on display at MAA. From an intricately carved netsuke to the adorable depiction on a piece of stained glass, we think they're all pretty special. How many dragons will you find during your next visit?

Wise words from one of our patrons. #reading #books #words
E-books are reading.
Comics are reading.
Genre is reading.
Fanfic is reading.
Text-based games are reading.
Audiobooks are reading.
Braille books are reading.
Non-fiction is reading.
Picture books are reading.
There is no single way to read, nor is any reading style more worthy than another.
