The one positive thing I've taken from this evening's shit-show is that people are now openly talking about Robbie Gibb. As Kevin Maguire said: "imagine the furore if Labour had put Alistair Campbell on the board of the BBC..." 🤣

St George flags don’t turn people into racists. They were already racists, the flags just make them feel legitimised. This country has a deep-seated problem with racism. For maybe a decade or two, a veneer hid it from plain sight, but it was always there.

“A sustained campaign of anti-migrant rhetoric is fuelling a growing cesspool of racism, including against international and ethnic minority nursing staff, without whom our health and care system would simply cease to function.”

How disgraceful.

It is quite incredible that this is coming out now, def a must see movie. We do know for sure now that these behaviours can happen anywhere and can be supported by easily led populations. The question is how far would Trump be allowed to go.

Just seen Mason gabbling like a fool trying to defend Robbie Gibb. Tbf, he looked visibly very rattled. Clearly forced out to try and divert. Not his finest hour, in a career littered with, let's face it, shit moments.

Just wtf is this?

I can’t think of many more unifying causes than standing up for the BBC against this absurd threat from Trump.

And Farage will be on his side, snivelling along like the school-bully-errand-boy that he is. Traitorous little bastard.

Seems a small group of people have decided the future of the human race, the rest will have to suffer the outcome of the choices they have made. The prime mover of course has been Trump whose legacy is assured and it’s not a good legacy.
Do UN climate talks have a point any more?
The US president is notably absent from these UN climate talks, as are other world leaders, all of which prompts questions about the purpose of COP today.
