This is the first Thanksgiving for Sophie & Colin Hortman without their parents, Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and Mark Hortman who were assassinated along with the family dog in an act of political murder. National guards troops were not deployed to the state in response.

Yes.

And then also fired a ton of senior agents with a ton of counterterrorism experience, including the Acting Director.
Didn’t the FBi pull a lot of personnel from anti terrorism to put them on deportations?

Actually the whole security establishment pivoted

This didn't really taste like Sunny D, which is strange, because Sunny D has it's own distinct taste that isn't remotely like oranges.

This is a statue to Tadeusz Kościuszko, military hero to both Poland and the United States, who fought for liberalism and republicanism in Europe, and also in the American Revolutionary War.

Nothing in this post implies endorsement by the Alaska Army National Guard or the Department of Defense.

My wife informs me that there was an earthquake in the Anchorage area. Looks like about 5.0, just north of Tyonek. Hope everyone is ok.

To put a finer point on it: An "illegal order" is one that violates their oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

If you think that upholding the Constitution = sedition, well...you do the math.
Them: “You don’t have to obey illegal orders.”

Him: “That’s seditious! They should be hanged!”

Definitely not beating the giving-illegal-orders allegations.

Had this OST playing in the background and was distracted by how good it was. So I had to learn more about how it was made.

The highest housing costs in Alaska are in our rural communities, where there are close to zero undocumented immigrants. Moreover, there is no statistical evidence of this nationwide, either state by state or over time. It's just a lie, and an embarrassment to Yale Law School.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

I've always felt that news stories about the size of lottery jackpots are kind of gross. It's just free advertisement for the lottery, and feeds the impulses of gambling addicts. I get that it's "newsworthy" and drives clicks, but I still wish the various outlets would agree not to do it.
