The north is absolutely blessed with great breweries, and we endeavour to bring you the best of them. Some of them even come from Lancashire.

Right now we have beers from Sheffield, Knaresborough, Ellerton, Ramsbottom, Rochdale and Keighley.

Oh and a 0% from Edinburgh.

You asked! @wishbonebrewery.bsky.social has just delivered.

Can't think of a better way to mark the end of dry January than with another pin of one of last year's favourites. Not sure we can wait a week and a half though...

Follow us on @realalefinder.com to make sure you don't miss out.

Local lad this one.

Today's starting line up, with 3 extra we're hoping to try over the weekend.

Z Rod from Pictish is a real treat for their many fans. A stronger ale they've not brewed for 5 years. This is the only cask in #Calderdale, don't dawdle, the first cask flew out.

The hills are alive.
Better late than never. Here are a few shots from Saturday in Hebden Bridge.
The @foxandgoose.org was looking great, followed by a very cold pint outside the Oldgate. People say the first weekend after NYE is quiet, but Hebden was heaving. #BskyBeer

Sadly the historic Stubbing Wharf pub visited by Plath, Hughes and latterly Haslam ceased trading on Jan 2, citing financial difficulties caused by flooding, a prolonged road closure and rising prices. It's tough out there. 🙁
Sylvia Plath & Ted Hughes visited a pub in Hebden Bridge. So I went there too, last year, 65 years later. Here's my extended essay on their night out, the impossibility of happiness, kitchens as disputed territory, and Plath's love of chippy tea #sylviaplath
