Keeping stuff working by hand-waving and forcing people to work for free is a stupid lie. It fosters the illusion that government is not essential in our lives.

I and 7 other comrades were detained on Thursday for a Palestine action. When we came out of the police station hours later, 30+ comrades were waiting in solidarity to greet us. I don't think there was a single man in the crowd. The only women who weren't brown or black were Jewish women.

Had an honest convo with a good friend yesterday and I had to really just lay out the truth as I saw it. Enough with the handwringing from them about 'not knowing what to do.' They know what to do & the question for them was whether they will choose to take the actions. I think they are ready now.

YES. One of the reasons I love my GP so much is that, being disabled herself, she absolutely gets the difference between "side effect I can tolerate" and "side effect that means we need a different treatment" at a truly visceral gut level AND trusts me to tell the difference!
