🧵 Lack of rigour in the medical literature is a huge problem, introducing false information into medical guidance and likely responsible for a large number of deaths.

We have encountered several stark examples where the response of the editors has been to bury even the most blatant errors.

Anyone who's confident that mainstream medicine is too smart to buy into anti-vax pseudoscience needs to realize that a lot of mainstream medicine already bought into anti-respirator pseudoscience, and 👉that is absolutely no different👈.

Medical guidance is about authority. That's it.

The error examined in this thread is laughably simple: forcing subjects to breathe through a small hole covered in N95 material does NOT mimic wearing an N95.

That's beyond wrong - it's *silly*.

It's also the source of mainstream medical claims that N95s interfere with breathing during pregnancy.

ICE has a history of preying on the most vulnerable and abusing people in their custody.

Many have died preventable deaths.

Two disabled people are currently being detained and denied all reasonable accommodations.

It’s eugenics. It’s cruelty for cruelty’s sake.

Disabled People are Being Mistreated in ICE Detention Facilities

Why is no one talking about it? Where's the media? Where's the public outcry? Another example of the pervasive nature of ableism and how society views disabled people as expendable.
