Is he trying to fulfilling the prophecy of Idiocracy? This is so much less important than the humanitarian horrors that his administration is inflicting on so many, but it is still so dumb it makes me sad.

Is he trying to fulfilling the prophecy of Idiocracy? This is so much less important than the humanitarian horrors that his administration is inflicting on so many, but it is still so dumb it makes me sad.
I got 9/10, but I had to look SO close up and watch back a few times each. No chance someone just scrolling through social media would catch these.
Very very scary, and a little sad to not be able to trust what we see with our own eyes any more.

While the State Department CAN revoke *visas* with very little legal process involved, stripping someone of a green card is done by DHS (not the State Department) and requires filing formal charges alleging a violation of immigration law and a removal hearing in front of an immigration judge.

Yes. If DHS can barge in, say your visa was revoked, be told you have a green card, say it's revoked too, and then disappear you so that neither your lawyer nor your family can find you, then all the guardrails are gone. There is no policy, practice, or law protecting anyone.

This is the kind of action we need to make the constitutional crisis visible. Saying no instead of complying makes headlines because it creates conflict—and conflict drives coverage. Even if Musk gets into the classified systems, this pushes his crime spree onto the front pages.
