Queer in many directions. Disabled. Reader. Embroidery, costumes, gluten free baking. Food motivated and anxious (both me and my dog).
I'm looking for a physical daytimer/planner. I've used a Moleskine for the past couple of years but thinking of getting something witchier and queerer. Budget about $40. Any recs?

One of the things I'm mourning with #LongCOVID #MECFS is that volunteering and doing stuff for people is generally out of my reach.

I just got a tube of tinted sensory-friendly lip gloss. My lips are soft but not slimy or sticky and yes it's $20/tube but it's also local and POC made, sooooo... Yeah. I guess it's my new treat. (Phytosurgence is the brand)

Sorry to everyone who thinks there should be fewer romances involving grief, but we all just lived through a mass death/disabling historical event with absolutely zero public rhetoric about it (or the fact that it’s ongoing) and grief romances is one big way we’re all Working That Out

Universal basic income would literally change the entire trajectory of my life and would probably lengthen it.

I've spent my entire adult life trying (and failing) to pass as able bodied enough to get enough health care to keep going.
Universal Basic Income would fix me.

This is one of the best explanations I've seen of the impossible math that I do everyday and why my social life is small

I actually like standardizing data and I'm too values-driven to work outside the Non-Profit Industry.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

According to my PEM I'm not well enough to do chores. I can tell I'm feeling a little better because this vexes me (I wanna put laundry away) and I'm also getting bored of finishing a book every 2nd day.

I'm using Coco's current infatuation with the oversized hoodie as an opportunity to wash his fluffy blanket. I might also then sleep with it for a while to see if he prefers blankets which are freshly scented like his people.

This is gonna be a very non-scientific experiment.

I'm so grateful that @maydela.bsky.social got me watching @taskmaster.tv because that show has given me such joy during *waving arms vaguely at the past decade*

You cannot talk about the loss of trans lives in this country or the continuing dangers trans people face navigating the world without talking about how most victims of transphobic violence are Black and brown.

Last night I left my oversized hoodie on the couch and I guess it's Coco's now.

Felt well enough to wash and braid my hair (then had to lie down).

Of course, the worse I feel the more susceptible to internalized Capitalism I am. Frantic anxiety even though I told my work Sunday that I'd be off until at least Wednesday.

Yes, I know I feel much better when I do all of my "take care of myself" tasks, but have you considered: that's a lot of work and I'm very tired?

Listening to Vancouver Council budget discussion in the background this morning. In response to a question from @seanorr.bsky.social about where they'll be retracting from the city just said they're planning to REMOVE baby changing tables and menstrual product dispensers to save costs. Shameful.

Food is starting to taste ok again but I'm having the weirdest scent/taste memories of cigarettes. (I haven't smoked in decades.)

Still very much not recommending this COVID variant. Or any really.

Coco, our dear catdog, has figured out that when I curl up on my side, where the best cuddle spot is.

I grew up with cats tucking themselves in that same spot and the comfort is heart-melting.

It's Blursday of having COVID (again) and I might try having a (seated) shower today.

Seriously if you've got #LongCOVID #MECFS #POTS or any condition that makes showering difficult, try a shower seat. It's increased the frequency of my showers and make them relaxing.

6. WHY DO WE HAVE A RULING CLASS? We gave them FIVE HUNDRED YEARS! They gave us more pedophiles. So let's try 500 years of NOT having a ruling class, of living our fucking lives without giving everything we own to these slave owning pedophile ghouls.

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed
