Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

People did similar coverage for Renee Good and I do absolutely believe that it makes a difference. It reaches a lot of low-info voters who don’t consume much political media, and it isn’t framed as political news coverage. it’s framed, correctly, as coverage of an innocent person’s murder

ICE killing #AlexPretti should remind you of police killing #PhilandoCastille. Both men had concealed weapon permits, did not draw their guns, & were killed in Minn. These homicides are the price of unaccountable policing. These deaths are variations on the same fatal theme.

Baldur's Gate 3 fan comic. The party of four walk through the ruined halls of Grymforge, debating the ongoing slavery of deep gnomes by the duergar clan.

"Why are we stopping to bother with saving gnomes!?" Astarion drawls, "Your people are an elevator away!"

Aldiirn responds, "explosive experts on our side will pay off if we need to cripple Moonrise, and we won't get there without the Moonlantern."

"What do you have against gnomes, anyway?" Aldiirn raises an eyebrow quizzically.

Astarion sneers, "they're just so shhhh---"

Astarion pauses and draws out the word "short" as long as possible as he's hit with the mistake he's about to make - Aldiirn's smile warning that he has another racial sensitivity seminar all prepped to go and Karlach and Shadowheart do not want to be forced to sit through it.

"--short on manners. Very rude." Astarion finishes in a huff.

"Anyone would be under forced labour, don't you think?" Aldiirn offers, sparkling like he wasn't just about to metaphorically wreck Astarion's day.

I'm not saying Air Force One didn't have a "minor electrical issue" that forced it to turn around, but I am saying that would be unprecedented for a highly advanced piece of machinery that's supposedly equipped to be a flying command-and-control center during a nuclear war. Odd.
