At this point I sort of feel like the AI company's plans are to just invest so much money into it that the government has "no choice" but to bail them out when the bubble bursts so all the rich guys get a guaranteed payday no matter what happens.

Worth noting that Venezuela is theoretically close enough to attack American cities. It's closer to Florida than Florida is to California. I don't think Americans have any idea of what a "real" war looks like anymore.

I don't understand how anyone can watch how blatantly Grok is manipulated to answer the way ownership desires it to and then act like the other LLM chatbots couldn't possibly be similarly but less obviously compromised to produce responses in whatever way corporate interests and priorities dictate.

The number of times I find myself wondering why this commercial looks so weird and then it occurs to me that it's probably because it's AI is kind of shocking. It also isn't a good look, IMO.

They said on NPR today that Trump supports releasing "all the Epstein files that are unclassified" so I'm guessing there are two things that happen: either the DOJ says they can't release the files because of an ongoing investigation, or they've classified everything about Trump.
