All eyes on Missouri where Republicans are taking every opportunity to ignore voters
Missouri’s referendum on minimum wage and paid sick leave last year won by a margin of 58 to 42 percent statewide. Under a proposal advanced by the GOP, it would have failed because it didn’t win more than 50 percent in every congressional district.
Under this GOP Measure, All of Missouri’s Recent Popular Initiatives Would Have Failed
Lawmakers just advanced a constitutional amendment to drastically raise the bar for approving citizen ballot measures. Voters get to weigh in on the scheme next year.

It's almost as if the violence against families and the fear of losing family members to illegal, warrantless raids has an impact on students and their testing. Huh.
When ICE Arrests Rise, Student Test Scores Fall, New Study Suggests: The working paper focused on a Florida district where both foreign-born and U.S. born students saw test scores drop.

The soft pedaling language being used to describe the men in the Epstein files is enraging.

They didn’t “have sex with underage girls”.

They raped them.

Sex implies consent.

The survivors deserve better than this. Use the correct language. Say what these men did.

Every 3 weeks or so students get a blank piece of paper returned to them that they "mindmap" their reflections on throughout the year. They get 5-7 minutes to add to it, then I take it back up until the next time. (I don't read them!)

Several years into doing this, zero regrets.

I recently spoke to an Arizonan who is worried about health care costs.

Her name is Robin, and her story shows why we must reopen the government with a deal that stops premiums from skyrocketing in the coming months.

This is what we’re fighting for. 🧵

BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV is set to effectively disband Opus Dei in the coming weeks.

This would be the most sweeping internal reform of his pontificate — and a dramatic continuation of Pope Francis’s legacy.
NEW: Pope Leo Set To Break Up Opus Dei
If Pope Leo does indeed approves a plan that effectively dissolves Opus Dei’s structure, it would be the most significant internal action of his short pontificate to date.
