this is a very good read on this debate
you can frame the European-American differences in a lot of ways but 'Europeans are poorer than Americans but also more secure' is probably the fairest one. American life is richer in many, many ways, and also far more dependent on your job *and your family* than European life.

this was one of the best things about the UK to me, i loved knowing exactly what to expect when going in a grocery store and they’d have what i was after and how much it would cost
on the other hand UK supermarkets are *so much* better than US ones at this point. Just night and day in terms of quality, range, accessibility, and price.

the argentine claim to the falkands is they should have the successor rights from the spanish claim, argentina has never had a territorial claim to the falkands, spain once had one with britain, argentina is not spain unless they plan to accept rule from madrid again (might be a good idea)
