MAGA dimwit Peter Navarro accidentally admitted Trump-MAGA's claim about immigrants taking jobs is a scam. And as @pkrugman.bsky.social notes, not only is job growth down; *manufacturing* jobs are also down. The whole MAGA story is in collapse.

I used to live in El Paso (which gives me zero insight into this) but I want to make a basic point because most US Americans have never been there: this is a large city of almost 700,000 people. It’s in the top 25 for the country. More than twice Pittsburgh and more than Milwaukee, for example

Trump DOJ Launches Bunk Investigation Of Netflix Merger As a Favor To Larry Ellison
We told you this was coming months ago. The Trump Department of Justice (DOJ) says it has initiated a broad investigation of Netflix's business practices and it's planned $82.7 billion merger with Warner Brothers. The Trump DOJ's pretense is that they're just suddenly really concerned about media consolidation and monopoly power (you're to ignore the U.S. right wing's generational and indisputable quest to coddle and protect monopoly power across telecom, energy, air travel, banking, and countless other industries):

Congress and judges will not save you. The GOP has rolled over every time, despite the unpopularity of Trump and most of his key policies. The Supreme Court has already demonstrated enough loyalty to Trump to give him unprecedented powers. This process accelerates unless stopped.

Talking about 2028 is dangerously naive; the danger is now. Trump is directing the military and justice department to go to "war" on US cities and his enemies, from TV hosts to former FBI directors. Keeping the 2026 midterms fair may be the last stand. My latest: www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

I and millions of Americans believe exactly the same thing Kasparov does.

Too many troops, too many new prisons, too much money not under Congressional supervision.

We're not just witnessing a mass deportation scheme anymore.

This is something significantly bigger and scarier.

From Reagan to Trump, GOP policies have crushed American workers:

The share of gross domestic income going to' wages and benefits was 51.4% in the Q3 2025, down from 58% in 1980.

Over the same span, the share going to corporate profits rose from 7.2% to 11.7%. www.axios.com/2026/02/11/a...
