I live in the ‘burbs and all I hear are cars speeding by and sirens. All day. So much better than half a block up the street because this corner lot was affordable

Was listening to NPR and they said “if you have Thanksgiving leftovers in your fridge it’s time to throw them out” and I was like Fuck You! We just got to the turkey sandwiches!

First time I’ve mowed the lawn* since the lil boy cat started coming outside on his leash and harness.
I cut down his “savanna” and I feel a little bad. We’re tearing it out anyway in December but poor guy…stealth option gone.
*mostly weeds and clovers. We only get it when it rains.

I’m old, Tbf, but I don’t remember Mac-n-cheese being a thanksgiving dish. I remember cornbread, which fell by the wayside I guess.
Turx, stuffing, potatoes of differing sorts, veg (green beans, Brussels, asparagus maybe), some bread thing, gravy, pie, when did that start?

Just got a glimpse of our older girl cat peeing in the box and it answered a lot of questions.
She Needs to pee on the edge, which causes occasional misses (and cleanups).
It doesn’t matter how far the tray is away from the wall (she’s large and we thought she couldn’t crawl all the way in)
