In 2026 I'm making a conscious choice to be a fatass queer out of sheer spite for anybody who thinks there's something wrong with being either of those things.
When I started making webcomics I drew on printer paper and scanned them wherever I could find a scanner and an internet connection. I had to learn how to do every step myself. I'm so glad nobody starting out today has to struggle quite like that, lmao

art is already democratized bcuz artists spent the entire past century creating forms where technical skill doesn't matter so as to welcome anyone's contribution into canon but everyone hated this idea bcuz theyre scared of egalitarianism. better 2 consolidate art in the hands of capital i guess!

I dream of having enough stability in our culture that anyone who wants to can pursue the arts, but the meaning comes from that pursuit, from translating human experiences through skills acquired over time. Art is labor, but it isn't just some commodity that can be pulped and reconstituted.

I think the funniest part of the idea that AI is good for people who are poor and want to make art is that I'm pretty sure they charge subscriptions on the good image generators, now, and it's something that's almost certainly not gonna get cheaper with time.

Oh shit I think I strained my neck a little cuz it huuuurts today. Foot and leg still sore where I hit them but not excruciating and everything still moves okay w/ minor swelling, so I don't think I busted my toes or sprained my ankle or anything.
I fell down and I am going to have a big bruise and a sore foot, just in time for the one show I have to table at this moth. 🙃

if anyone has done ketamine therapy of any sort i'd love to hear your experience of what it felt like during the procedure, and esp if you've used it for ocd and found it beneficial!!
ok so i had the ketamine consent appt where we broke down what the procedure looks like, the prep, & the effects i might feel while the ketamine is in action. lowkey nonplussed about the possible trippiness of it all but it otherwise sounds mostly like when i come out of sedation for my facet shots

I think one of the reasons that normies are still using AI for their facebook posts or are unable to recognize it when they see it is that for decades they thought that CGI and Digital Art were what LLMs are.
