hard to argue amorim was too hard done by, but at the same time, not really persuading anyone it was about performance rather than being mean about the bosses.

some team should just outright embrace this and say they're a comedy club. lighten things up in football a bit.

If I'm a Chelsea fan I want to see David Baddiel given a go. He's a Chelsea man to the core - has served time elsewhere & there's no reason he can't do what Lampard is doing at Coventry - with better tools.
Me too, Richard, me too.

zooming out, i feel like the macro story at liverpool is they needed a lighter touch manager post-klopp who wasn't going to totally change everything to enforce his own ideas about football, but next season they need a new "tactical teacher" to build a side.

don't know which is worse, the coca cola advert done by ai or the one with the gary neville voiceover.

it's so satisfying when you see half the timeline seriously stressing out about a big game you have no personal rooting interest in.

i guess the more interesting world cup ticket price conversation is, like, how do people in mexico feel about this?

there's a whole political metaphor in having a supposedly arsenal supporting prime minister sign off on this

I’ve spoken to so many people around the world in the last two weeks on various calls and every single one of them, in Africa, North and South America, and South East Asia, wanted to know why they weren’t getting the Premier League football they were expecting. Had something happened etc. Big miss.
This is the absolute essence of the argument.

Take your most cynical view of the Premier League and its brand.

Today is terrible for the brand. And for the broadcasters.
the money people would absolutely love to have a full slate of games today. it's become a famous branding that is known even in countries that have never heard of boxing day.
