The Supreme Court of the United States is not a legitimate body.

More judges speak to the press (the NYT) about what a disaster the Supreme Court (specifically the shadow docket) has been - “incredibly demoralizing & troubling”; a “judicial crisis”; a “slap in the face to district courts.” www.nytimes.com/2025/10/11/u...

On the 18th we need to be vigilant for increased violence and provocation by both law enforcement and counter-protestors, both of which will be used to try to justify more violence and authoritarianism.

The Speaker of the House is telling the Fox News audience that a peaceful demonstration by Americans on the National Mall will actually be a gathering of organizations the administration has designated as violent terrorists.

Seems bad?

Mike Johnson: "We're so angry about it. I mean, I'm a very patient guy, but I've had it with these people. The theory we have right now -- they have a hate America rally that's scheduled for October 18 on the National Mall. It's the pro-Hamas wing and antifa people ... "

Well now I'm definitely going to a protest that day.

The House Majority Whip is also insisting that a peaceful "No Kings" demonstration is in fact a "hate America rally" held for the "terrorist wing" of the Democratic Party.

Really feels like they're trying to manifest a violent reaction to it.

Emmer: "This is about one thing and one thing alone -- to score political points with the terrorist wing of their party, which is set to hold a hate America rally in DC next week."

Which ultimately leads to bad cases because a regular jury will hear that and likely lose.

I presented DOJ cases to grand juries for 25 years. Cases can be legally -but unethically- influenced by the prosecutor.

Exculpatory info like James telling her loan officer the property will NOT be her primary residence could be withheld. $18K being below pros guidelines would not be disclosed.

i know grand juries have a relatively low bar for bringing indictments but i find myself wondering WTF is up with some of these grand jurors

Wow, a person with power has said that continuous lying actually makes someone less than credible

U.S. District Judge April Perry says it comes down to a "credibility determination."

"I simply cannot credit [the Trump administration's] declarations to the extent they contradict state and local law enforcement. … DHS' perception of events are simply unreliable."

#BREAKING A federal judge say she will grant "in part" a request by the state of Illinois for a temporary restraining order against the deployment of National Guard troops into the state.

U.S. District Judge April Perry is still ruling and has not outlined the details of her order.

it's only racial profiling if it comes from the racial profiling region of france. otherwise it's sparkling reasonable suspicion.

McLaughlin: "Pritzker said there's racial profiling, which is absolutely false. Our officials use reasonable suspicion. That's protected under the US Constitution 4th Amendment."

if Kash can go back years and fire people for kneeling or displaying a pride flag the absolute least the next Dem admin can do is fire every one of these assholes who are assaulting people on camera

(and then prosecute them)

I fill in a lot for our city court. Once had a guy who got something from DFR about an illegal deer stand. I went up to him and I was like, "hey you know what you did wrong?" (because I had no clue) and when he said yeah, I told him "ok, don't do that, dismissed."

Same with a fish too short (long?)
