My tuxedo girl was curled up in her holiday house on top of the kitchen cabinets and looked like an entirely different cat because she had covered all of her white patches by curling up. I briefly wondered how a void with eyes got into my house.

Every streaming service is now a data broker. Most probably use more server space and digital real estate for user data than for media, at this point. Opt out! Buy physical media! Watch DVDs! (I'm really getting into DVDS.)

I'll argue any day that refusing to allow users to share passwords made it possible for them to buy Warner Brothers. The nuclear family divided people into more homes and more customers. Netflix divided family accounts into more users. Tale as old as time. I'm still boycotting.
The fact that Netflix could afford to buy warner brothers for 82 bil usd means they could've afforded to let us share passwords.

I love deep cleaning and I hate daily tidying. Give me a task I can't complete in a day and I'll happily create new clutter in service of getting all the grime in the corners and creating better flow. Daily counter cleaning? ...Uhhh why? I need to see everything or I'll forget it exists!

I have and the effect is insanity because it absolute fucking bullshit that I as a chronically online digital native Millennial-Gen Z cusp have to deal with constant incremental UX learning curves every app/OS update. It's maddening. I'm going Luddite.
i wonder if anyone's studied the cognitive effects of everyone using multiple computer interfaces daily and then those mental maps getting re-shuffled every few months with pointless ui tweaks to keep the brand fresh

I finally got to do the thing where I bundle a bunch of thrifted and secondhand dog gear for someone who's bringing home a new foster pup, and it feels so good.
I gave them stainless bowls, some toys, a new crate mat, leashes, and a little dog coat. I think they're off to a good start.
