Conference papers where people just read out their complex long-form piece of academic writing should be banned. Unfailingly it’s too dense for comprehension by listeners. And completely impossible to engage with if you have any hearing/ auditory processing issues— miss a single word and you’re lost

Not sure, but five years from now, I could see the web as a wasteland of GPT-6 content—the output of a model trained on mostly on the output of GPT-5—trawled only by chatbots pretending to be human readers to scrape up what ever remnants of long-term contract ad dollars are left to be had.

My self checkout opinion is that I am unnerved by the uniqlo one — you thrust your armfuls of ‘stuff you don’t need but will somehow still be wearing in a decade’ into the white void provided and it adds it up all at once. No scanning required.
