I loved that whole unit - while boggling that an end-of-the-bench unit + Post a. played as a unit; b. were extremely poised; and c. pulled off the comeback. That really is deep. And a huge win for the team concept.

health is the potential issue, of course. I'm also intrigued with 2 Horford potentials - playing him with Post and creating a real 5-out unit, and if (as Kerr hopes) having him play with JK opens Kuminga up more for drives.

Let's say you're right - he's capable of taking over a game in the playoffs. He hasn't done that, ever. So if he IS capable but hasn't done it (instead having a negative +/- in 25 of 34 playoff games), what does that say about his drive and motivation?

So the Dubs will pay him what, 40% of his contract for this year? So like $10 mil. Looked at that way, and with the trade assumed, they wind up paying JK $2 mil more than the qualifying offer and preserve the salary slot. Iirc, Joe's paid around 2 mil for a second round pick.
