When you are moved to a different jurisdiction, you have to refile your habeas petition all over again. They want to wear people down so they'll give up on their cases.

Good for Larry Krasner for calling out ICE and CBP. I think allowing them anonymity and not holding them to account for illegally brutalizing and terrorizing EVERYONE emboldens them.
Maybe knowing they could go to prison without Trump’s “get out of jail free card” will give them second thoughts.
