ALL: please spread far and wide. The Trans Exile Network was aware of preparations for this and supports it. We will release a PR of our own shortly also. Note that Amnesty are supporting.

There will also be more from TEN shortly on another initiative.

Stay safe

An important insight into the NHS and trans healthcare from a GP. Well worth 20 minutes of your time.
Please share this as much as possible. They are threatening to access the records without consent, force the children to the gender clinics, and stop their hormones, with threats of police and social services if you refuse. youtu.be/Rw3hkic9Lzw?...

Waiting to be served yesterday, a man approaches the queue and sees someone he knows. "One in, one out," he says. She nods and replies, "One in, one out."

Make of that what you will.

I’ve signed this.

It’s essential right now to keep raising trans issues. With the likely lull while the EHRC considers the consultation responses & produces guidance, this can help keep us in the spotlight, & positively.

For more info and reasons to, see Philippa’s post.
Okay folks! We’ve a real opportunity here. This petition is at 78,000 (ends 28 July!). With a good push, we can get it over the line.
MPs *don't need to stick to the exact petition topic*. We can brief them to discuss any & ALL issues with trans healthcare.

PROVOKE AND PUBLICISE

Tomorrow in the Houses of Parliament the transphobes will attempt a “Provoke & Publicise” action. Provoke and Publicise was originally developed as a tactic by racist segregationists in US states like Alabama & Oklahoma to try and stop the civil rights movement there…

Two articles released at the same time on the Guardian website; both full of concerns about the EHRC's handling of the Supreme Court judgement in terms of how long they might take to produce guidance and it not bringing the promised clarity.

Keep writing to MPs.

It's International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia - and just 3 days ago it was revealed that the UK is now one of the more difficult places in Europe to live as an LGBTQIA+ person. A sobering reminder that our rights can never be taken for granted. #IDAHOBIT2025
🚨 The UK is now one of the most difficult places in Western Europe to live as a LGBTIQA+ person - slumping to 22nd position overall

🚨 Gender Recognition and Asylum are the areas in which the UK dropped the most

For this year's #IDAHOBIT the theme is the power of communities.

In the wake of recent attacks on LGBTQIA+ rights, it is more important than ever to stand together as a community.

Met my MP last week. Mainly very positive from a name not on the usual list of allies. They ask for mutual confidentiality so will respect that, so no names. Thread about what they said + own thoughts.

That was surely the most racist speech given by a senior Labour politician in my lifetime... "we risk becoming an island of strangers"... so blatantly xenophobic that you can't even call it veiled. Awful, just awful

You mentioned that the EHRC consultation period for trans people is, shockingly, only 2 weeks. In contrast, Baroness Falkner wrote to DWP in 2023 to ask them to extend an 8-week consultation period because it was 'insufficient for disabled people/ organisations to respond meaningfully'.
Urgent changes needed to DWP consultation, warns equality watchdog | EHRC

A 24-hour rollercoaster of emotions…

Following an 18-month fight for continuing trans healthcare after returning to the UK, I finally get the prescription for hormones from my GP.

The next day, the supreme court shafts the trans community.

My MP responded to my letter about the under-18s puberty blockers ban, basically parroting Streeting and Cass. I’m replying and can shred the arguments, no problems. But, it’s just venting, so isn’t productive.

I’m stuck: what can I actually ask the MP to do that’d be practical re the PB ban?

As I now understand it, the difference between US and UK politics is that our outgoing prime ministers hand out peerages to friends and family and outgoing American presidents give them pardons.
