Baddest motherfucker in Tunbridge Wells

Was Perry Groves many years ago (not the football one)
There are also plenty of Poles who came in the 40’s who will talk about being turned down for jobs, being abused by the locals, and seeing signs on boarding houses reading ‘No Irish, No Poles’.

Yes, most built good lives here but it’s a myth to pretend that it was all rosy.
The Labour Government did the right thing and the 1947 Polish Resettlement Act granted economic support for these refugees and gave them the right to work- while offering a right to citizenship.

They quickly integrated into the UK & it showed how to work to integrate new arrivals.

If you ‘can’t imagine’ what every single parent has done since the dawn of humanity then you’re either a total fucking idiot or are assuming there are enough idiots around to give you money.

Sadly, I’m pretty sure it’s the latter and more sadly, he’s right.

Sam Altman: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

Pffft. Part of the charm of the Barbican is its own weird internal logic. All the secret entrances and exits. It’s like one of those weird dreams where you go down a corridor and discover you’re in a completely different floor than you thought you were on.

In a different building.

Would love to know how they are going to cool these motherfuckers.
“In a decade, Pichai said that it'll be normal to build extraterrestrial data centers”.

And he’s definitely not the only one speaking about the *necessity* of data centers in space. Apparently the planet is not big enough for their scaling “laws”.

Sundar Pichai says Google will start building data centers in space, powered by the sun, in 2027
Google announced Project Suncatcher earlier this month. CEO Sundar Pichai now says it could begin building data centers in space as soon as 2027.

I love tQ’s end of year lists. I only recognise 10% of the artists and only own 2 of the records. Always great to have new music and it’s always going to be interesting
tQ's albums of the year 2025 have landed! As ever, it'll be a joy over the next 12 months speaking to people excited about the releases they discovered through it – this is why we continue, into our 18th year. I hope you'll find something you love herein:

Would have been happy with either to win to be honest; both era-defining albums that didn’t sound like anything else out there (though of course ATCQ and Jungle Brothers were hot on the tail).

Doolittle personal favourite but I’ve been telling my hip-hop loving kid to try De La Soul for ages…

People who vote for Beastie Boys over De La Soul are the same kind of people who prefer Stone Roses over Happy Mondays.

What is funny about the whole episode is that Eze called Arteta to see if he could sign for Arsenal.

But it's true, so true
I love you even more

For you don't love me

Maybe I am missing something here but Labour’s “support us doing Reform things or you’ll get Reform” isn’t exactly a winning strategy when at least the half the voters go for centrist or left parties every election.
Shabana Mahmood on the BBC this morning talking about desperate people fleeing war and persecution as being given a "golden ticket" and "handouts" and saying she's got a "moral mission" to take them away from them

Indistinguishable from the rhetoric of Reform www.adambienkov.co.uk/p/shabana-ma...
Shabana Mahmood and the Politics of Extortion
Labour's strategy of telling its supporters to back Reform-style policies, or get a Reform Government, is the politics of the protection racket and it is not going to work
