Reform UK Leicestershire are crooks.

They announced consultants Newton would do a £1.4m savings review.

That’s ballooned to £30m in 6 just days.

Leader Dan Harrison is a con man.

Leicestershire you’ve been had.

The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

Mogg's suit is his armour.

His cut glass accent and Etonian affectation are a force field.

Beneath them both, he's a rude, insufferable arse.
Jacob-Rees Mogg supports President Trump's right to sue the BBC

He then repeatedly asks Gillian Tett questions but doesn't let her reply, so Victoria Derbyshire has to step in and tell him off

After the referendum, the BBC chief Lord Hall ordered the BBC to treat Brexit as a done deal, a decision which all but wholly excluded Remainer opinion from the BBC for over two years, thus grossly biasing the debate. It was a grotesque abuse of democracy.

Farage just gave a press conference, and claimed that the red tape on businesses has risen since Brexit.

You know what? He's right. But he's wrong about the reason!

It's not because Brexit was done badly. It's because Brexit guarantees more bureaucracy because we have to duplicate EU institutions.

The BBC’s kowtowing to the right, it’s love-in with Farage, its comfy-chair approach to Boris Johnson, always had only one eventual result. I wonder if the Laura K’s, the Nick Robinsons etc will ever acknowledge this.

This seems the wrong way around to me.

Yeah, this is a serious failing. Same as when Thatcher's pick, Marmaduke Hussey, forced out Alasdair Milne: hushed up, opaque, behind closed doors, secretive. This is a public body, using licence fee funds, operating according to the scrutiny of an elected government. It should be transparent.
Question are the BBC Board minutes in the public domain? Or is it just a summary? Wondering why other 'independent' institutions like the BoE Monetary Committee do put out reports & not the BBC @iandunt.bsky.social
