We did not have the very concept of “illegal immigration” before 1924. We did not have ICE before 2023. Time to abolish both so we can reverse course on what has been a moving sidewalk carrying us seemingly irrevocably towards fascism.

Until an AI model is paralyzed by imposter syndrome, no AI company can honestly declare it to be intelligent.

Stop wasting time learning, writing, drawing, reading, & thinking! Let AI do it for you, so you can focus on what really matters. We're not sure what it is, but DEFINITELY no learning, writing, drawing, reading, or thinking involved. How fun for you to get to figure it out!

As i approach my 60th i can testify that it is not preordained that older men become reactionary bullies. Turns out that applies only to the ones who worked hard to pretend they weren’t utter shit when they were younger. As they age they grow resentful of making the effort & become their true selves

The NY Times is as limber as a contortionist in how it twists its headline away from pointing the finger in the right direction. The student is the one “attacked”? Because he bragged about getting ICE to arrest people at a local car wash and was criticized (and also lauded) online as a result

THIS is the reason? A flippant joke about an article about Johnny Cash using the most famous lyrics by {checks notes} Johnny Cash? And they wipe off her entire account? Fuck that. gizmodo.com/bluesky-is-c...

Growing up in Brooklyn in the 70s, I thought the "jewish question" was "Why are jews so awesome?" The only thing I miss about the 70s was that delusion.

Suspending a respected journalist, author, and historian—especially one who is also a public critic of the ruling powers—demands an explanation to the community. It is a really bad move, unless Bluesky is trying to join the groveling obeisance train. @safety.bsky.app @support.bsky.team

Mamdani born to the wealth and privilege of being the son of an indie film director. Unlike our workingclasss hero Andrew Cuomo who was only born to the wealth and privilege that comes from being born into a corrupt political dynasty. It is like David v Goliath

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.
