This may be the Lee Jae Myung administration’s first big loss. The Korean govt tried to confront Japan’s refusal to address history issues through UNESCO but failed. Since the ballot was secret we cannot know which countries sided with Japan. 1/

I honestly don't know how to handle the fact that the entire world is comfortable watching an entire people get ethnically cleansed live on the internet. No emergency meetings between governments, not even a conference call. Not a single country, other than Yemen, is willing to stop this.

Rumeysa Ozturk is apparently being held in an ICE facility in Louisiana, owned by GEO Group, a private prison company that does much of the immigration prison contracting. Here's an image of what happened to GEO's stock price, nearly doubling from Nov 4 to Nov 11.
