this 'BTTF' teaser image on NCT DREAM's Instagram has the "World Encyclopedia of Peace' in the foreground. the cover looks like this book on the internet archive (link in the replies). though it's hard to tell which exact volume and edition is in NCT DREAM's post, given the photo resolution

I do think New Romantics likely has major connections to the Graduate Institute of Peace Studies at Kyung Hee University. still working out the details, but given their global impact and past activities (and trying to start a renaissance), I think it makes sense.

logically I should start with South Korea since that's where the greatest volume of New Romantics content is from. but knowing the right questions to ask and how to search in a different language is something I'm still figuring out

I know there's way more than American political references in these music videos. but there are almost 200 countries in the world, so it's a bit overwhelming 😬

music videos are nice bc visuals have less of a language barrier. but ultimately there's still a lot of important symbolism to learn 🙃

I just realized I love the original Showgirl cover so much because it reminds me of the cover of The Lure and Taylor looks like a siren ready to lure men in for the kill.

a woman thanked my (male presenting) partner for going to the TLOAS movie with me because she said her husband refused to go with her because it was "for the girls". which is awful and sexist but also speaks to the drastic societal shift Taylor created overnight

on this note:

has anyone else noticed how Taylor took a concept that was considered "for men" (showgirls) and handed it to women overnight? the power in that is INCREDIBLE and I don't think it's being appreciated for the societal shift it is!!!!!!
