Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

No, see, if the cat's calm then I'm calm. They might look a little spooky but the cat's telling me they're pretty chill dudes that probably just want to welcome me to the neighborhood. It's when my pets don't trust a person that we've got problems.

Public Access by @gauntletrpg.bsky.social and it's no contest. I love the way the players are encouraged to be just as active in setting the scenes as the person running it. You get a taste of Deep Lake, New Mexico with the game material, but the players really make the locations shine.

I did my undergrad thesis on the European witchcraze, and a key motivator in accusations and arrests was to seize the property of the accused

Stoking the moral panic to continue the arrests was very profitable for those in positions of authority.

I say this for no reason …

I spoke to a Venezuelan woman who was arrested in this raid and later released with her 4yo son. She said agents broke down their door, pointed guns at them and made sexualized remarks about Venezuelan women. When she returned to her apartment it was boarded up and all her possessions were gone.

Big same regarding disc drives, though at least you can get those separately as attachments. I'm done with this nonsense where I buy something but "don't really own it" so companies can just delete it at any point and just sucks for me and my $20-$80.

Too often we chase the assholes/bad boys as if we think the power of our love can change them and validate us as being special, the "only one who could see who he REALLY was deep down!" If folks want a project they need to take up crochet or pottery and let these men sort themselves out.
