If you give a tax cut to working people, they'll spend their extra money and push up inflation (bad), but if you give a tax cut to the wealthy, they'll add that to their stash under the Lonely Mountain (good), or maybe use it to give you a bribe (better).

Valuable public service from Greg, here, as I'd not realised it was clocks back tonight (thanks, Greg).
Also: You're Dead To Me is always very good.
Thirdly: BST sucks - all hail GMT!
The clocks go back tonight, which is my perfect excuse to share my fave episode of BBC You’re Dead To Me about the History of Timekeeping (from 2022)

Probably isn't a great that an Amazon server in the US falling over has taken out both the Lloyd's Bank and the HMRC apps on my phone. 😬

Oh, sure, when these Cybertruck owners drive around and give out toys to children, it's cute and whimsical, but if I tell kids there's puppies in the back of my van, people call the police.

New TV programme idea: Samira Ahmed goes fabric shopping - it's New Swatch.
Probably not that exciting, but certainly way less annoying than the petty complaints that come up on Newswatch.
